The CII & IITD-AIA FSM Two-Day Masterclass on Digital Twin is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of Digital Twin technologies and their applications in smart manufacturing. The program combines expert lectures, facility visits, and extensive hands-on sessions to enable participants to learn both the theoretical foundations and practical implementation of Digital Twins in industrial environments.
Over two days, participants will explore how Digital Twins create digital replicas of physical systems to improve monitoring, decision-making, and operational efficiency in manufacturing. The program begins with fundamental concepts of Digital Twins and gradually progresses to advanced applications including machine tools, predictive quality analysis, MATLAB-based modeling, and cybersecurity considerations in connected manufacturing systems.
Participants will gain practical exposure through hands-on laboratories using tools such as Emulate3D, where they will learn to build simulation models, configure logic controls, and run production system simulations. These labs will also demonstrate virtual commissioning, PLC data integration, and real-time performance visualization for manufacturing machines.
The program also includes a visit to IAFSM’s Cyber-Physical facilities, where participants will experience demonstrations of smart manufacturing technologies and observe real-world digital twin implementations. Additional sessions will cover machine tool digital twins, physics-based modelling using MATLAB/Simulink, and cybersecurity strategies for protecting industrial digital environments.
By the end of the masterclass, participants will develop a clear understanding of how Digital Twin technologies can be applied to optimize manufacturing processes, enable predictive insights, improve quality analysis, and support secure smart manufacturing systems. The program concludes with certificate distribution and networking opportunities to encourage collaboration among industry professionals and experts.
